ABOUT ACROMONGOLIA

AcroMongolia is a performance and education company based in Ulaanbaatar, offering world-class handstand and contortion training. Rooted in Mongolian tradition and led by internationally acclaimed performer and coach Lkhagva Ochir Erdene Ochir, AcroMongolia supports students at every level—from absolute beginners to professional artists.

Training is available both online and in person, through structured programs, coaching groups, and global workshops and retreats. Every year, AcroMongolia also hosts immersive trainings at its home studio in Mongolia. With a mission to elevate movement, preserve cultural artistry, and empower the next generation of performers, AcroMongolia welcomes students from around the world.

Meet the Coaches

AcroMongolia is led by two coaches with very different backgrounds but a shared passion for movement, precision, and meaningful progress.

Founder and Head Coach

Lkhagva Ochir Erdene Ochir

Lkhagva Ochir Erdene Ochir —known as Ochir—began his training as a contortionist at the age of 9. Rooted in Mongolia’s deep performance tradition, he went on to tour internationally for many years as a featured artist with Cirque du Soleil, performing in both KOOZA and CRYSTAL.

He has been awarded the Polar Star Medal and named an Honoured Artist of Mongolia—two of the country’s highest distinctions in the arts. Together, they recognize his status as a national treasure, both at home and abroad.

Founding Partner and Coach

Marion Chan

Marion began her movement journey later in life, after working for several years as a trader in the City of London.

A shift in priorities led her to focus on health and physical practice, starting with Ashtanga yoga (Mysore style), and eventually traveling to India to study under Sharath Jois.

Her path evolved into a deep dedication to handstands and flexibility training. She has studied handbalancing with Sainaa (London School of Hand Balance) and Sascha Bachmann, and continues her contortion practice under the guidance of Ochir.
